About Ilan

Ilan, like many entertainers, started off as a juggler performing on the street. From juggling he was introduced to magic when his sisters bought him a simple magic set. After reading every magic book he could get his hands on, four or five times over, his knowledge of tricks and magic history grew to an impressive scale. At age twelve he started performing at children’s birthday parties and soon after met Master Magician, Gary Lightinheart. Ilan became Gary’s apprentice and began studying the art of performing magic as opposed to just knowing its secrets.
After receiving his Master’s Degree from the University of Florida, he became one the youngest authors of magic and published Fell’s Official Know-it-All Guide to Advanced Magic. Ilan has also developed courses that teach magic for several summer camps and after-school programs.

For the past 15 years Ilan has performed up and down the east coast with a strong focus in South Florida. Various performances include his close-up shows at the new Seminole Hard Rock Casino and hotel, stage shows at various hotels such as the Boca Hotel and Resort, and his grand illusions which he got to showcase at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts – one of the oldest and largest theaters in Miami.
In 2007, Ilan accomplished two impressive goals: he performed a two hour stage and illusion show called Look Again at Bailey Hall in Ft. Lauderdale and he opened up his own summer camp with Josh and Lydia Corn that teaches children the art of being a magician.

From his close-up magic to his illusion shows, whether the audience size be three people or three thousand people, Ilan manages to sneak into the hearts of all who experience his magic – filling them with wonder and joy. And how he does that is his greatest secret.
